Hello Snoopy, What's crackalacking?

Nothing much, just chilling for a minute, just finished sorting out the track listing for my first CD "It's a Dog Eat Dog World". Now I'm trying to start drafting for my second CD, since I started taking music seriously I've been putting in a lot of work trust me.

Sound's good. You started off in Mucky Wolf Pack, Are they still existing?

Last I spoke to Gift and he was still screaming Mucky Wolf Pack but I think that Swingerz, Realist and them have scrapped the whole idea and started a fresh with "AIN" (Age Is Nothing). Wolf Pack will always exist to me though; it's the crew in which I originally spawned from within the Grime Scene.

Does that mean you’re still a member?

Nah I’m not a member but by that I just mean whenever I'm jamming with Gift, Swingers and all the old members it sometimes feels like where still Wolfpack. You get what I mean? It's not like we've all fallen out so I can still get that feeling.

Will you be working with any of TMWP (The mucky wolfpack) for your first cd?

There is no more TMWP, it's all AIN now (apart from Gift obviously), and yeah as a matter of fact I've got a track on my first CD entitled "Errr" featuring Realist. Personally I think he's the most talented out of them lot even before he joined up.

Recently there was drama involving you and a lot of artists from North London, can you explain what happened?

Hahaha, I've been getting this question in and out of interviews lately. Basically, I was in my bredrins yard in North London with a couple of the mandem and I was reading a thread on Grime Forum about North and East Mc's, two twos all the mandem started having a argument in the house about who's better then somebody tried to say something about Double S having me up in a clash as a joke, so I just “said bruv you don't want me to go hard and started taking out North London Mc's”... Which was what I done anyway, I slapped some bars together and made a tune sending for North and by that I mean who I personally thought were the representing artists from North London you get me?
Anyways I guess a lot of people got offended haha which don't really bother me because I do and say what I want regardless, yeah but anyway later down the line I heard a member from the Marvell collective send back for me on the BBC Asian network but that was a little funny because I saw them soon after on Tim Westwood's Sunday night BBC 1xtra show and I could see the shock in their eyes
I mean Vertex and Shocker didn't even spit, Double dropped a few bars but then he just got out of there in a hurry.

I think too many Mc's these day are scared of a clash because they think it'll lead to further problems, I mean it could haha but that depends on how you go about it. Personally I think other Mc's of their league should be happy at the fact that I’m giving them an open invitation to a clash because I don't usually do that as I tend to take things a little too seriously a lot of the time.

So nothing bad will happen? We here at UKHH care about the safety of the artists supporting the site!

Haha well I can't guarantee their safety in life, if one of them were to mysteriously get shot or hit by a car this week I couldn't prevent that, but on my behalf I brought it to them on a music vibe and so I don’t expect them to try and bring it to me any other way.

Good! So who is next on your list to send for if you don’t mind me asking?

I don't have a list, I did what I did, sending for a couple people to prove points, i.e. there's more talent here in East London than there is in North and also to remind myself that I am one of the hardest war Mc's within the Grime scene, if anybody disagrees with those statements then fair enough but nobody has proven me wrong yet so my opinion stays the same.

Now, you use to be affiliated with Eski-beat how did this come about?

Well that was a bit of an air situation really, it started just after the first War Report saga in 2006, Maniac showed couple of my tunes to Wiley and he was feeling it so he took my number and gave me a ring telling me to come to the studio and fire up a tune. So I went down with Mani and done a few vocals which up to this day I have never heard again haha, but yeah anyway Will was feeling the bars and so he officialised me as a member of Eski-Beat Recordings.
Thinking back to those day makes me laugh because I actually used to look up to him within the music industry, always used to think he knew best... What a joke!

Is there may be a different side to Snoopy we haven't seen yet? E.g. a sweet boy side that's going to make a sweet boy grime track?

HHHHAAHAHAHAHAHA, sweet boy Grime you know, f*ck that what you see is what you get with me you won’t hear me on no Dj Ironik I wanna be you man remixes it's just not my style, if I made a tune for girls it would probably be asking them why they act like idiots haha, na but seriously I got love for all type of people that take interest in my music but for those who don't you might as well hate me from now because I’m keeping it strictly Snoopy gritty and gutter mixed with a good sense of artistic skills.

Where abouts in the Grime scene would you rank yourself? Top 10?

Well personally I wouldn't rank anyone higher than me because I obviously know what my mind is capable of, the kind of tunes I can make, the kind of bars I can write and so that makes me feel like the best, I mean it's good to have some sort of confidence. In terms of other people though I doubt I'm top 10, I've been doing music for a while and it's funny because it seems like I'm only getting heads to turn now, I know that there are a lot of Grime fans out there that have never heard of me and so for that fact I would rank myself like top 25 or 30. Hopefully I have a much higher status than that, but until it becomes apparent I'll never know what my rank in the scene is. All I can do is put in as much work as I can to achieve the reputation that I want within the scene.

Do you feel there is an age limit in Grime?

Errm not really because there are some sick youngers in my ends, better than I was when I was their age, plus when I was like 16 I used to hate being classed as a ""younger"" because I feel like if you have talent then you're as significant to the Grime scene as everyone else with talent for the genre, the only thing I don't like is people taking whole age limit idea for a bly.
I hate people trying to emphasize their age it doesn't make them anymore appealing or talented.

Who would your dream collaboration be with?

Well that's a good question because the funniest thing is that it probably wouldn't be a Grime artist, it would be someone like Ransom, Uncle Murder or Max B or someone. Stack Bundles would've been great to collaborate with but it's a shame he's dead now. R.I.P. Stack Bundles

What can we expect from Snoopy Montana in the future?

Well it's funny you asked that because I was just breaking down as I like to call "journey planner" in the scene. After I drop It's a Dog Eat Dog World, I'm instantly starting work on my second CD "Stop Breddin Vol.1" there will be a Stop Breddin Vol.2 also and by then we'll see if I'm ready for an album, of course within that time it isn't just going to be all mix cd's, I've got a single entitled "Fresh" taken from It's a Dog Eat Dog World is due for a video shoot, I'm also going to be shooting a video for another track taken from It's a Dog Eat Dog World entitled "The Beast In Me" however this single is also going to have an individual release on all digital outlets. I and the rest of the Locked N Loaded team are currently in the making of our own DVD entitled "Stop Trying It".
I'm also going to be hosting a series of studio sets entitled "Work Out Sessions", with each volume of this I release I will rotate 5 up and coming Mc's including myself.
